| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Harold Charles Blaser of Reynolds, who | 4 | | passed away on June 20, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Harold Blaser was born on October 31, 1927 in | 6 | | Taylor Ridge; his parents were Harry and Annie Blaser; he | 7 | | married Margie Sackville on May 2, 1948 in Hamlet; she preceded | 8 | | him in death on September 9, 1982; he married Ann Gregory on | 9 | | June 29, 1984 in Ecorse, Michigan; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Harold Blaser proudly served his country in the | 11 | | United States Navy during World War II; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Harold Blaser farmed his entire life and raised | 13 | | purebred Hereford cattle since 1948; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Harold Blaser was a member of Hamlet Presbyterian | 15 | | Church, the Rock Island County Farm Bureau, the Illinois and | 16 | | American Hereford Associations, and Reynolds American Legion | 17 | | Post 1166; he also served as director of the Rock Island Soil | 18 | | and Water Conservation District; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, Harold Blaser was preceded in death by his first | 20 | | wife, Margie; his parents; his grandsons, Josh, Brady, and |

| 1 | | Logan Blaser; and his sisters, Evelyn Carlson and Arlene | 2 | | Nussbaum; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Harold Blaser is survived by his wife, Ann; his | 4 | | children and their spouses, Anita Gorden, Blair (Sara) Blaser, | 5 | | Lisa Blaser, and Brad (Penny) Blaser; his stepchildren, P. | 6 | | Wendell (Denise) Gregory, Marlene Gregory, and Charlene (Dave) | 7 | | Waid; his grandchildren, Angie, Jessica, Cody, Bailey, Abby, | 8 | | and Thomas; his seven step-grandchildren; and his | 9 | | step-great-grandchild; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 12 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Harold Charles Blaser; | 13 | | and be it further
