| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Marilyn Rose Banovic of Litchfield, who | 4 | | passed away on May 27, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was born in Mt. Olive to John | 6 | | Henry and Catherine (Gorsich) Zubal on December 6, 1929; she | 7 | | married John Joseph Banovic in Mt. Olive; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was a licensed beautician and | 9 | | owned and operated Marilyn's Beauty Shop in Mt. Olive; over a | 10 | | 33-year span, she also worked for the Illinois Department of | 11 | | Transportation in Springfield as an office clerk, and the | 12 | | Governor's Office - State of Illinois in Washington, D.C.; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was a member of Holy Family | 14 | | Catholic Parish in Litchfield; she enjoyed mowing her lawn and | 15 | | watching the St. Louis Cardinals; she especially enjoyed | 16 | | spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; | 17 | | and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic was preceded in death by her | 19 | | husband, John; her parents; and her brothers, Clarence, LeRoy | 20 | | "Babe", John, and Gib Zubal; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Marilyn Banovic is survived by her son, Edward | 2 | | (Jeanne) Banovic; her grandchildren, Sarah (Ryan) Weatherford | 3 | | and Andrew (Katie) Banovic; her great-grandchildren, Sydney | 4 | | and Kaden Weatherford; and her sisters-in-law, Ruth Zubal and | 5 | | Norma Zubal; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Marilyn Rose Banovic, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Marilyn Banovic as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
