| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of David J. Zarn of Geneva, who passed away | 4 | | on April 20, 2016; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, David Zarn graduated from Downers Grove High | 6 | | School in 1961 and was inducted into the United States Army in | 7 | | 1965, serving in Vietnam; he married Kathleen Zeni at the Fox | 8 | | Valley Presbyterian Church in Geneva in 1989; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, David Zarn acquired and ran several laundromats in | 10 | | the Downers Grove area; he later acquired a family hair salon | 11 | | in Arlington Heights, which he ran for many years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, David Zarn was devoted to his children's education | 13 | | and their extracurricular activities, including music, sports, | 14 | | and dance; he and his family were also very active at Glen | 15 | | Ellyn Bible Church, First Baptist Church of Geneva, and | 16 | | Valleybrook Community Church in Elburn; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, David Zarn was preceded in death by his parents, | 18 | | Rudolph and Helen (Smart) Zarn; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, David Zarn is survived by his wife of 27 years, | 20 | | Kathleen; his son, Adam (Alyssa) Zarn; his daughter, Anna Zarn; |

| 1 | | and his two siblings, Nancy Zarn and Roger Zarn; therefore, be | 2 | | it
| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | David J. Zarn, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 6 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 7 | | further
| 8 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 9 | | presented to the family of David Zarn as an expression of our | 10 | | deepest sympathy.
