| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives are honored to congratulate Brian
Remedi on his | 4 | | induction into the Bradley University Athletics Hall of Fame; | 5 | | and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Brian Remedi was born on March 10, 1972 to Robert | 7 | | and Cheryl Remedi; he graduated from Carl Sandburg High School | 8 | | in Orland Park in 1990; while at Carl Sandburg, he was | 9 | | All-Conference
and All-America in athletics; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Brian Remedi went on to attend Bradley University, | 11 | | where he played for the soccer team
from 1990 to 1993, first as | 12 | | a defender, and then as a midfielder; and | 13 | | WHEREAS, Brian Remedi was awarded the Defensive Most | 14 | | Valuable Player of the Year in 1991, Most Improved
Player as a | 15 | | Senior, and at one point, he held the Bradley University record | 16 | | for number of career starts
at 76; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, After receiving his bachelor's degree from | 18 | | Bradley University, Brian Remedi worked as a graduate assistant | 19 | | for Bradley University's soccer team while earning his master's | 20 | | degree in English, serving first under soccer coach Jerry | 21 | | Crabtree and then
under coach Jim DeRose; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, After serving Bradley University's soccer team as | 2 | | a graduate assistant and earning his master's degree, Brian | 3 | | Remedi took a
communications job with the United States Soccer | 4 | | Federation (USSF); he later worked for the Federation | 5 | | Internationale de
Football Association marketing staff in | 6 | | Switzerland; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, In the Fall of 2009, Brian Remedi returned to the | 8 | | USSF as its Chief Administrative Officer; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Brian Remedi's kind and humble heart helped make | 10 | | him a leader on and off the field and throughout
his career; | 11 | | and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Brian Remedi married Kathleen Blanchfield on | 13 | | April 22, 2005, and together they have 2
children, Liam and | 14 | | Brendan; therefore, be it
| 15 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 16 | | NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 17 | | congratulate Brian Remedi on this well-deserved recognition of | 18 | | his athletic
accomplishments and contributions to the sport of | 19 | | soccer; and be it further
