| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Henry Penning Beiser of Alton, who passed | 4 | | away on April 8, 2018; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Henry Beiser was born in Alton to David and | 6 | | Margaret (Penning) Beiser on August 20, 1931; he graduated from | 7 | | St. Ambrose College in Davenport, Iowa in 1953; he then served | 8 | | in the United States Army; he married Suzanne Chappel in Alton | 9 | | on May 18, 1957; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Henry Beiser retired from the Granite School | 11 | | District as a counselor and teacher after 32 years of service; | 12 | | and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Henry Beiser was a member of St. Mary's Catholic | 14 | | Church in Alton and the Alton Knights of Columbus; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Henry Beiser was preceded in death by his parents | 16 | | and his brothers, David and Joseph Beiser; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Henry Beiser is survived by his wife, Suzanne; his | 18 | | sons, Mark Beiser, Christopher (Mary) Beiser, and Steven | 19 | | Beiser; his grandchildren, Benjamin Beiser, Nicholas Beiser, | 20 | | Andrew Beiser, Ashley (Zachary) Righter, Elizabeth Beiser, |
