| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Mary Agnes Browne, who passed away on | 4 | | August 21, 2020 at the age of 97; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was born on October 16, 1922 and | 6 | | spent most of her life in Oak Park; she was a community leader | 7 | | and loving mother; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was a leading community | 9 | | volunteer; she was a member of the local school's PTA, the | 10 | | Nineteenth Century Club, the Women's Guild at the First | 11 | | Presbyterian Church, the Infant Welfare Society, the American | 12 | | Cancer Society, the Oak Park and River Forest Day Nursery, the | 13 | | Oak Park Country Club, Phi Sigma, and others; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was married to the late William | 15 | | Browne; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Mary Agnes Browne was the mother of Meredith | 17 | | Upward, Carolyn Brown, J. Danforth Browne, and Nancy Browne; | 18 | | the devoted grandmother of Benjamin, Andrew, Stephen, Michael, | 19 | | Lauren, and Quinn; and the great-grandmother of Gavin and Ryan; | 20 | | therefore, be it
