| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Sara Soledad Villanueva of Chicago, | 4 | | who passed away on December 24, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Sara Soledad Villanueva was born on September 23, | 6 | | 1963; following her grandfather, she immigrated to the United | 7 | | States at the age of 13 with her mother and siblings; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Sara Soledad Villanueva graduated from William H. | 9 | | Wells High School in Chicago; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Sara Soledad Villanueva married Teodoro | 11 | | Villanueva on July 10, 1991; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Sara Soledad Villanueva attended college part | 13 | | time while working full time, volunteering in her community, | 14 | | and raising her children, Yesenia, Alex, Celina, and Derek; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, In 2003, Sara Soledad Villanueva graduated from | 17 | | Roosevelt University with a master's degree; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, For over 25 years, Sara Soledad Villanueva | 19 | | volunteered with Instituto del Progreso Latino and Community |

| 1 | | Health to help her neighbors succeed academically and lead | 2 | | healthy lives; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Sara Soledad Villanueva forged strong bonds with | 4 | | the patients she served; she was described by Community Health | 5 | | as their personal Wonder Woman; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, In her free time, Sara Soledad Villanueva loved | 7 | | to bike, watch old western movies, and watch the Chicago | 8 | | Bulls; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Sara Soledad Villanueva was deeply loved by her | 10 | | family; therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 13 | | Sara Soledad Villanueva and extend our sincere condolences to | 14 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 15 | | further
| 16 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 17 | | presented to the family of Sara Soledad Villanueva as an | 18 | | expression of our deepest sympathy.
