| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Bliss E. O'Connor of Waukegan, who passed | 4 | | away on December 9, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bliss O'Connor was born in Pocatello, Idaho on May | 6 | | 11, 1924 to Harry L. and Bliss Winerfred McClintock and was a | 7 | | longtime Waukegan resident; she graduated from St. John's Mercy | 8 | | Hospital Nursing School in 1945; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Bliss O'Connor retired from Victory Memorial | 10 | | Hospital as an emergency room nurse after many years of | 11 | | service; she and her son, Kevin, were actively involved in the | 12 | | early years of special education development at the Waukegan | 13 | | School District; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Bliss O'Connor was an active member of St. | 15 | | Anastasia Parish for over 65 years, where she volunteered at | 16 | | the soup kitchen and PADS, serving needy members of the | 17 | | community, and funeral luncheons, and was a member of the | 18 | | Women's Club; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Bliss O'Connor was preceded in death by her | 20 | | husband, Francis J. O'Connor; her daughter, Mary Guelich; her | 21 | | brother, Tom McClintock, and her parents; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Bliss O'Connor is survived by her sons, F. Joseph | 2 | | (Nancy) O'Connor, Patrick (Laura) O'Connor, and Kevin | 3 | | O'Connor, and her grandchildren, Shawn O'Connor, Courtney | 4 | | O'Connor, Kathleen O'Connor, and Dillon Guelich; therefore, be | 5 | | it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Bliss E. O'Connor, and extend our sincere condolences to her | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Bliss O'Connor as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
