1 SENATE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of
3 Illinois were saddened to learn of the death of Arthur Louis
4 Ardelean of Plano on Wednesday, January 8, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Mr. Ardelean was born on August 24, 1928 in
6 Pontiac, Michigan, to the late Louis and Marie (Lucas)
7 Ardelean; he served near the end of World War II in the U.S.
8 Navy; he married Carole Madsen on October 13, 1951; and
9 WHEREAS, Mr. Ardelean was a carpenter for Madsen Builders
10 for 20 years and later was self-employed, building and
11 remodeling many houses and farms; he was a member of the
12 American Legion Post 489 in Yorkville and Past Commander of
13 Plano American Legion Post 389; and
14 WHEREAS, Mr. Ardelean was one of the founders of the Quad
15 County Hawg Hunters Chapter of Muskies Inc. in Plano and
16 served as its first president and recently was vice
17 president; he was very active in this chapter, helping and
18 organizing breakfasts and fundraisers; he loved helping
19 children learn to fish, as at the Kid's Day Fishing contest
20 and outing; he loved the outdoors and was especially proud of
21 the 48" muskie he caught and released; and
22 WHEREAS, Arthur Louis Ardelean will be remembered as a
23 wonderful, kind, and giving man and will be missed by all who
24 knew him, especially his wife, Carole; his daughters, Valerie
25 (Marty) Lincoln and Robin Kuehlem; his two grandchildren,
26 Katie Marie and Aaron Arthur Kuehlem; his brother, David
27 (Betty) Ardelean; his aunt, Anne Lucas; his uncle, Eli Lucas;
28 and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
29 RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-THIRD GENERAL
30 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that together with his
31 family and friends, we mourn the passing of Arthur Louis

1 Ardelean and offer them our sincerest condolences; and be it
2 further
3 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
4 presented to the family of Arthur Louis Ardelean with our
5 deepest sympathy.
