| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, | 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
| 4 | | Section 5. The White Cane Law is amended by changing | 5 | | Section 3 as follows:
| 6 | | (775 ILCS 30/3) (from Ch. 23, par. 3363)
| 7 | | Sec. 3.
The
The blind, persons who have a visual | 8 | | disability, the hearing impaired, persons
who are subject to | 9 | | epilepsy or other seizure disorders,
and persons who have | 10 | | other physical disabilities have the same right as the
| 11 | | able-bodied to the full and free use of the streets, highways, | 12 | | sidewalks,
walkways, public buildings, public facilities and | 13 | | other public places. | 14 | | The blind, persons who have a visual disability, the | 15 | | hearing impaired, persons who are
subject to epilepsy or other | 16 | | seizure disorders, and persons who have other physical | 17 | | disabilities are entitled to full and equal
accommodations, | 18 | | advantages, facilities and privileges of all common
carriers, | 19 | | airplanes, motor vehicles, railroad trains, motor buses, | 20 | | street
cars, boats or any other public conveyances or modes of | 21 | | transportation,
hotels, lodging places, places of public | 22 | | accommodation, amusement or resort
and other places to which | 23 | | the general public is invited, subject only to
the conditions |

| 1 | | and limitations established by law and applicable alike to
all | 2 | | persons.
| 3 | | Every totally or partially blind or hearing impaired | 4 | | person, person who is subject
to epilepsy or other seizure | 5 | | disorders, or person who has any other physical disability or | 6 | | a trainer of support dogs, guide dogs,
seizure-alert dogs, | 7 | | seizure-response dogs, or
hearing dogs shall
have the right to | 8 | | be accompanied by a
support dog or guide dog especially | 9 | | trained for the purpose, or a dog
that is being trained to be a | 10 | | support dog, guide dog, seizure-alert dog,
seizure-response | 11 | | dog, or hearing dog, in any
of the
places listed in this | 12 | | Section without being required to pay an extra charge
for the | 13 | | guide, support, seizure-alert, seizure-response, or hearing | 14 | | dog;
provided that he shall be liable for
any damage done to | 15 | | the premises or facilities by such dog.
