| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of William Green of Moline, who passed away | 4 | | on October 29, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, William Green was born in Centralia, Washington on | 6 | | February 14, 1931 to Lee Adlie and Hannah Page Green; he served | 7 | | in the United States Army and married E. Louise Fields in Rio, | 8 | | Illinois on August 1, 1954; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, William Green retired in 1993 as the shift | 10 | | supervisor of the IPS Department at Alcoa in Bettendorf, Iowa | 11 | | after 30 years of service; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, William Green was a member of the Moline American | 13 | | Legion Post 246; he was a member of Beulah Presbyterian Church, | 14 | | where he was a former Trustee and Elder; he was also the | 15 | | Treasurer of Building Funds as well as a volunteer cleaner; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, William Green enjoyed playing baseball and golf | 17 | | and was on the John Deere Golf League; he was a St. Louis | 18 | | Cardinals fan and enjoyed fishing and camping; he was an | 19 | | organic vegetable gardener and enjoyed the orchard that he | 20 | | planted; above all, he loved spending time with his family, | 21 | | especially his grandchildren and children; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, William Green was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents; his 2 sisters; and his 2 brothers; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, William Green is survived by his wife, Louise; his | 4 | | sons, William L. (Jan) Green, John Green, and Marty Green; his | 5 | | grandchildren, Jenny (Kelby) Krueger, Ben Green, and Abby | 6 | | Green; his great-grandchildren, Taylor, Sierra, and Lane | 7 | | Krueger; his sister, Grace (John) Chezem; and his brother, Bob | 8 | | (Elaine) Green; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | William Green, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
