| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Michael Warren "Mike" O'Neill of | 4 | | Moline, who passed away on July 4, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Mike O'Neill was born to William Richard and | 6 | | Carol (Skoglund) O'Neill in Moline on June 29, 1937; he | 7 | | graduated from Moline High School in 1955; he attended Black | 8 | | Hawk College; he served in the U.S. Navy; he married Donna | 9 | | Bernece Ziegler in Moline on September 12, 1959, and she | 10 | | preceded him in death on August 7, 2017; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Mike O'Neill retired as Vice President of | 12 | | Operations for BankOne in Moline in 1998, and he had been | 13 | | employed by the bank and its predecessors for 40 years; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, Mike O'Neill was a member and trustee of First | 15 | | Baptist Church in Moline; he was previously involved in Junior | 16 | | Achievement and the Miss Moline Pageant; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Mike O'Neill enjoyed racquetball, woodworking, | 18 | | traveling with his wife in their RV, and camping and fishing, | 19 | | especially with his grandchildren; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Mike O'Neill was preceded in death by his wife |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Mike O'Neill is survived by his sons, Curt (Lisa) | 3 | | O'Neill and Tim (Trudy) O'Neill; his grandchildren, Danny | 4 | | (Danielle) O'Neill, Amy (Evan) Wendell, Kevin (Hailey) | 5 | | O'Neill, Meagan (Jorge) Cabrera, and Shawn (Molly) O'Neill; | 6 | | his great-grandchildren, Bennett, Amalia, and Ellis O'Neill; | 7 | | and his sisters, Patricia (Richard) Haney and Cathy | 8 | | Houghtaling; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Michael Warren "Mike" O'Neill and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | him; and be it further
