| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Regina Celeste Donelan of Springfield, | 4 | | who passed away on November 8, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Regina Donelan was born in Springfield to James | 6 | | and Regina (Zimmerman) Coogan on September 4, 1927; she | 7 | | graduated from Sacred Heart Grade School and Sacred Heart | 8 | | Academy; she married Thomas Donelan; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Regina Donelan worked as a secretary for the | 10 | | Illinois State Senate; she retired from the Attorney General's | 11 | | Office; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Regina Donelan was a member of St. Agnes parish | 13 | | and attended the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception; she | 14 | | was a member of the Women's Club of Springfield, the St. | 15 | | Joseph's Home Rosemary Circle Coterie, and several card clubs; | 16 | | she volunteered with St. John's Hospital Samaritans and | 17 | | Caregivers Interfaith Volunteer Service; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Regina Donelan was preceded in death by her | 19 | | parents; her husband, Thomas; her son, John Donelan; her | 20 | | daughter, Barbara Ann Donelan; her brothers, John and James; | 21 | | and her sisters, Cecelia Jane Richmond and Catherine Vestal; |

Donelan; her | 4 | | daughter-in-law, Jeannie Baldes Donelan; her grandchildren, | 5 | | James (Cassandra Musgrave), Steve, Tara, Matthew, Paul, and | 6 | | Tommy; her great-grandchildren, Luke, Michael, Elizabeth, | 7 | | John, Nicholas, and Andrew; and her sister, Rosemarie Coogan; | 8 | | therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Regina Celeste Donelan and extend our sincere condolences to | 12 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 13 | | further
