| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Alan Ryle of Champaign, who passed away | 4 | | on October 2, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Alan Ryle was born on January 11, 1952 to Robert | 6 | | and Carolyn Gilbert Ryle; he married Lynn Lanman on June 11, | 7 | | 1972; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Alan Ryle was a very active member of the | 9 | | community and a passionate advocate for the disabled; he had | 10 | | worked with the developmentally disabled since 1973; he and his | 11 | | wife went on to establish the Alan G. Ryle Companies, which | 12 | | provides residential facilities and programming for adults | 13 | | with developmental disabilities; he was a longtime board member | 14 | | and former President of Community Elements; he also served on | 15 | | the board of Illinois Association of Rehabilitation | 16 | | Facilities; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Alan Ryle was a parishioner of Emmanuel Memorial | 18 | | Episcopal Church, where he was a past Vestry member and | 19 | | Rector's Warden; he enjoyed reading and music; he was an avid | 20 | | Illinois fan and a devoted fan of the Arizona Cardinals and the | 21 | | Chicago White Sox; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Alan Ryle was preceded in death by his parents, | 2 | | Carolyn Ryle-Smith and Robert Ryle; and
| 3 | | WHEREAS, Alan Ryle is survived by his wife, Lynn; his 2 | 4 | | sons, Scott (Stephanie) and Nathaniel (Courtney) Ryle; his | 5 | | father, Millburn Smith; his brother, Lynn Smith; his sister, | 6 | | Vivian Bales; and his grandsons Cameron, Zachary, and Nolan | 7 | | Ryle; therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | Alan Ryle, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, | 11 | | friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
| 12 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 | | presented to the family of Alan Ryle as an expression of our | 14 | | deepest sympathy.
