| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Henry L. "Hank" DeDecker of Silvis, who | 4 | | passed away on September 6, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Henry DeDecker was born on September 28, 1923 in | 6 | | Moline; his parents were Florimond Gustave and Emilie Marie | 7 | | Bousson DeDecker; he married Margaret Eggerichs on November 27, | 8 | | 1947 at St. Anne Catholic Church in East Moline; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, After graduating from United Township High School | 10 | | in 1941, Henry DeDecker worked for the Moline Dispatch for | 11 | | several years before enlisting in the United States Navy during | 12 | | World War II; he served his country from 1943 to 1946; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Henry DeDecker worked for Prudential as an | 14 | | insurance salesman, retiring in 1985 after 35 years of service; | 15 | | and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Henry DeDecker was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals | 17 | | fan; he also enjoyed fishing and was an avid golfer with many | 18 | | friends from Golfmohr Golf Course in Hampton; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, Henry DeDecker served on the Hampton Township | 20 | | Board for many years and was an officer for the local |

| 2 | | WHEREAS, Henry DeDecker was preceded in death by his | 3 | | parents; his wife, Margaret; and his brother, Lucien DeDecker; | 4 | | and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Henry DeDecker is survived by his daughters, Jan | 6 | | (Jerry) Fisher, Mary (Paul) Bechtold, and Julie (Craig) Mumma; | 7 | | his sons, Jon (Nancy) DeDecker and David DeDecker; his | 8 | | grandchildren, Erik Fisher, Mark Fisher, Andrea DeDecker, and | 9 | | Kameron DeDecker; and his great-granddaughter, Olivia Fisher; | 10 | | therefore, be it
| 11 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 12 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his | 13 | | family and friends, mourn the passing of Henry L. "Hank" | 14 | | DeDecker; and be it further
