| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Shahbaz Ali on the | 4 |
| occasion of his retirement from Harper College after 19 years | 5 |
| of dedicated service; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Shahbaz Ali was born on February 5, 1926; his | 7 |
| parents are Brigadier Tawfiq Ali, a distinguished polo champion | 8 |
| who has won many cups and awards, and Yousuf Iunisa; he is the | 9 |
| oldest of six children; he married Jehanara on October 21, | 10 |
| 1949; and
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, Shahbaz Ali joined the army when he was 18 years | 12 |
| old; he went on to work at Nizam's palace in Hydrabad, India as | 13 |
| a security officer in 1965; and
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Shahbaz Ali has been a security guard at Harper | 15 |
| College for 19 years; during his tenure, he has developed a | 16 |
| fine reputation for his dedication to the students and faculty | 17 |
| of the Harper College Northeast Center in Prospect Heights; and
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Shahbaz Ali has dedicated his life to helping | 19 |
| others in need; he is well known as a dedicated father and | 20 |
| provider for his family; and |

| WHEREAS, Shahbaz Ali enjoys reading and watching the news | 2 |
| on TV; and
| 3 |
| WHEREAS, Shahbaz Ali and his loving wife of 55 years, | 4 |
| Jehanara, have 6 children, Jehanbaz, Safinaaz, Alnaz, Farzana, | 5 |
| Shakeel, and Rizwana, 16 grandchildren, and 4 | 6 |
| great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 7 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 8 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 9 |
| congratulate Shahbaz Ali on the occasion of his retirement and | 10 |
| wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be | 11 |
| it further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 |
| presented to Shahbaz Ali as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
