| 1 | | SENATE RESOLUTION | 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Lowell E. Hauger of Milan, who passed | 4 | | away on April 3, 2024; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger was born to Charles E. and Thelma | 6 | | E. (Foster) Hauger in Davenport, Iowa on April 26, 1938; he | 7 | | graduated from Sherrard Community Unit School District 200 in | 8 | | 1956; he served two years in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Iowa | 9 | | and the USS Bigelow as an electrician; while on the Iowa, he | 10 | | experienced passage through the Panama Canal; he married | 11 | | Delores Ann Kennedy in Joy in 1961; and | 12 | | WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger completed an apprenticeship with | 13 | | International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 145; he | 14 | | retired after working for 40 years in the electrical trade; he | 15 | | also farmed in rural Milan; and | 16 | | WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger collected antique tractors and | 17 | | engines as a hobby and enjoyed working on them and making them | 18 | | operational; and | 19 | | WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents and his brother, Billie Gene; and |

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Lowell Hauger is survived by his wife of 62 | 2 | | years, Delores; his children, Gary (Susan) Hauger, Sharon | 3 | | (Chris) Jacob, and Carl (Amanda) Hauger; his grandchildren, | 4 | | Brian, Kevin, Dayton, and Savanah; his sisters, Wanda (Steve) | 5 | | Engelkes and Betty Hauger; his nephews, Steve and Ron Maynard, | 6 | | and Doug, Dean, and Dennis Bogart; and his brothers and | 7 | | sisters-in-law, Bob and Dee Dee Kennedy and Bonnie and Dennis | 8 | | Green; therefore, be it | 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Lowell E. Hauger and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further | 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Lowell Hauger as an expression of | 16 | | our deepest sympathy. |
