| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Peter V. Wintersdorf, Jr. of McHenry, who | 4 | | passed away on August 12, 2015; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Peter Wintersdorf was born in Annapolis, Maryland | 6 | | on May 16, 1952 to Peter V., Sr. and Mary (nee Rutherford) | 7 | | Wintersdorf; he was raised in a career military family and was | 8 | | able to experience living in many locations throughout Europe | 9 | | and the United States while growing up; he attended the former | 10 | | Coyne Institute of Chicago and later received an associate | 11 | | degree from Ivy Tech Community College; he married Janine | 12 | | Horvath in Rolling Meadows on May 10, 1975; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Peter Wintersdorf became a service fitter in 1978 | 14 | | with Pipe Fitters Local 597 and then a journeyman; in 2004, he | 15 | | founded his own business, J.P. Mechanical Services, which he | 16 | | operated for many years; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Peter Wintersdorf enjoyed spending time with his | 18 | | family and at his Wisconsin summer home, traveling with his | 19 | | wife, and coaching Little League and youth basketball and youth | 20 | | baseball; he was a member of The Church of Holy Apostles in | 21 | | McHenry for many years; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, Peter Wintersdorf was preceded in death by his | 2 | | parents, and his brothers, Matthew (the late Nancy), Lawrence, | 3 | | and a brother in infancy; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Peter Wintersdorf is survived by his wife of 40 | 5 | | years, Janine; his 2 sons, Peter (Teresa) Wintersdorf and | 6 | | Jeremy (Kristy) Wintersdorf; his grandchildren, Lillian Grace | 7 | | and Carmela Mary; his great-niece, Emily Wintersdorf; his | 8 | | mother-in-law, Bernadette Drake; his father-in-law, Julius | 9 | | (Carla) Horvath; his sisters-in-law, Dorine (Robert) Hatch and | 10 | | Sheryll (Greg) Crider; and his brothers-in-law, Michael | 11 | | Horvath, Matthew Horvath, Robert Patrick, and Mark Horvath; he | 12 | | was an uncle, cousin, and friend to many; therefore, be it
| 13 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL | 14 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 15 | | Peter V. Wintersdorf, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences | 16 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 17 | | it further
| 18 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 19 | | presented to the family of Peter Wintersdorf as an expression | 20 | | of our deepest sympathy.
