| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Shyree Adrianna Pullen, who passed | 4 | | away on January 24, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen was born to the late Sharla Rosanna | 6 | | Pullen and Pierre Jackson in Little Rock, Arkansas on December | 7 | | 24, 1992; she committed to her faith at an early age and was | 8 | | baptized at the First Baptist Church of Melrose Park; later, | 9 | | she became a member of St. John AME Church in Aurora, where she | 10 | | was a member of the young adult ministry; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen graduated from Waubonsee Valley | 12 | | High School in Aurora and then matriculated at Northern | 13 | | Illinois University, where she excelled in biology, chemistry, | 14 | | and the creative arts; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen enjoyed a variety of interesting | 16 | | experiences; she served as a page at Oxford University in | 17 | | England and participated in a music festival at the Vatican in | 18 | | Rome and in Venice, Italy; she was active with the Delta Sigma | 19 | | Theta Sorority, Inc. Jabberwock Cotillion and earned the title | 20 | | of Ms. Jabberwock 2010; and
| 21 | | WHEREAS, Shyree Pullen lived a purposeful life and will be |

| 1 | | remembered for her vibrant smile, warm personality, generous | 2 | | spirit, and willingness to help and serve others; therefore, | 3 | | be it
| 4 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 5 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
| 6 | | Shyree Adrianna Pullen and extend our sincere
condolences to | 7 | | her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
her; and be it | 8 | | further
| 9 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
| 10 | | presented to the family of Shyree Pullen as an expression of
| 11 | | our deepest sympathy.
