| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Roy William "Bill" Leopard of Illinois | 4 | | City, who passed away on October 11, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Bill Leopard was born in Centerville, Iowa to | 6 | | William H. Jr. and Ruth (Stroud) Leopard on September 9, 1943; | 7 | | he served his country in the U.S. Navy for six years, two years | 8 | | active duty and four in the Navy Reserve; he married Sandra | 9 | | DeClercq in Andalusia on November 22, 1962; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Bill Leopard worked as a piece maker in the | 11 | | Cylinder Division at John Deere Harvester Works; he retired in | 12 | | 1994 after 30 years of service to Deere and Company; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Bill Leopard was a member of the American Legion; | 14 | | he was also an avid fisherman and hunter; fishing was his | 15 | | passion, and he loved passing on his knowledge to his | 16 | | grandchildren; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Bill Leopard was preceded in death by his | 18 | | daughter, Christie Leopard; his grandchildren, Braeden Leopard | 19 | | and Dakota Roate; and his parents; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Bill Leopard is survived by his wife, Sandy; his |

| 1 | | children, William (Annette) Leopard and Brandy (John) Young; | 2 | | his grandchildren, Joseph (Kayleene) Leopard, Zeth Leopard, | 3 | | and Nathan Leopard; and his great-grandchildren, Hailey, | 4 | | Lexie, Ryliegh, Ian, and Kiptyn; therefore, be it
| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Roy William "Bill" Leopard and extend our sincere condolences | 8 | | to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be | 9 | | it further
