| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 |
| learn of the death of Amanda Jean Prucnell, a resident of | 4 |
| Clearbrook in Rolling Meadows and a longtime resident of | 5 |
| Palatine, who passed away on February 13, 2010; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, She was born July 5, 1989, in Tampa, Florida; | 7 |
| Amanda had been a student at Kirk School in Palatine where she | 8 |
| was currently a "super senior"; she had been very involved with | 9 |
| Northwest Special Recreation Association (NWSRA) for many | 10 |
| years and participated in Special Olympics, where she received | 11 |
| multiple gold and silver medals; and
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Amanda will be remembered as "the girl with the | 13 |
| permanent smile who never met a stranger"; she was a social | 14 |
| butterfly throughout the entire community; and
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, Amanda was loved by so many friends and family, | 16 |
| and will be deeply missed; she is survived by her mother, Jean | 17 |
| A. (William) Brandt; her father, Stephen C. (Kathleen) | 18 |
| Prucnell; her sister, Jennifer Prucnell; her maternal | 19 |
| grandparents, Helen (the late Howard) Bittner; her paternal | 20 |
| grandparents, Barbara (Stephen) Prucnell; her uncles, Mark | 21 |
| Prucnell, Michael (Patricia) Bittner, and Jack (Cindy) | 22 |
| Bittner; and her aunt, Irene (Edward) Cauwels; also surviving |

| is the entire Brandt family and her loving companion, Biscuit | 2 |
| The Beagle; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL | 4 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with | 5 |
| her family and friends, the passing of Amanda Jean Prucnell; | 6 |
| and be it further
| 7 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 8 |
| presented to the family of Amanda Jean Prucnell as a symbol of | 9 |
| our sincere sympathy.
