| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Robert Henning Hollmer of Taylor | 4 | | Ridge, who passed away on November 22, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Robert Henning Hollmer was born to Henning and | 6 | | Bessie Brown Hollmer in Davenport, Iowa on May 12, 1926; he | 7 | | served in the U.S. Navy during World War II; he married Doris | 8 | | E. Roussell in Davenport on February 4, 1947; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hollmer was a bricklayer for the | 10 | | Bricklayers Local #6 and retired in the late 1980s; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hollmer served on the Rock Island County | 12 | | Zoning Board for more than twenty years; he was also very | 13 | | involved with the Democratic Party and served in many | 14 | | different capacities; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Robert Hollmer was an avid horse enthusiast who | 16 | | enjoyed raising, training, and showing horses; he enjoyed | 17 | | maintaining his yard, and he loved and cherished his family; | 18 | | and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Robert Henning was preceded in death by his | 20 | | parents; his wife; his sons, Michael and Douglas Hollmer; his |

| 1 | | daughter, Judith Hollmer-Bradley; his sisters, Lois Butt, Ruth | 2 | | Steffen and Joann Hollmer; and his brother, Donald Hollmer; | 3 | | and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Robert Henning is survived by his daughters, | 5 | | Karen (Mike) Hines and Susan (Dave) Wynn; his nine | 6 | | grandchildren; his eighteen great-grandchildren; his | 7 | | daughter-in-law, Carolyn Hollmer; his son-in-law, Marty | 8 | | Bradley; his sisters-in-law, Darlene Carstens and Mary Piercy; | 9 | | and his numerous niece and nephews; therefore, be it
| 10 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 11 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 12 | | Robert Henning Hollmer and extend our sincere condolences to | 13 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 14 | | further
