| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of LeRoy Harshbarger of Collinsville, | 4 | | formerly of Granite City and Belle, Missouri, who passed away | 5 | | on September 21, 2021; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, LeRoy Harshbarger was born to Roland and Nellie | 7 | | (Burns) Harshbarger in Granite City on June 4, 1931; he | 8 | | proudly served his country with the Seabees, a U.S. Naval | 9 | | Construction Battalion; he married Margaret Jane (Roby) | 10 | | Harshbarger, and she passed away after 31 years of marriage; | 11 | | he married Ginger K. (Walker) Skaggs at High Gate Baptist | 12 | | Church in Missouri on December 21, 2000; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, LeRoy Harshbarger retired from the Granite City | 14 | | Fire Department after 25 years of dedicated service as a | 15 | | fireman; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, LeRoy Harshbarger was a member of Masonic Lodge | 17 | | #373 in Belle, Missouri; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, LeRoy Harshbarger was preceded in death by his | 19 | | first wife; his parents; his stepson, Randy Phillips; his | 20 | | brother, Donald Harshbarger; and his sister and | 21 | | brother-in-law, Joann and Glen Romine; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, LeRoy Harshbarger is survived by his beloved | 2 | | wife; his stepchildren and their spouses, Michael and Debbie | 3 | | Phillips, Tommy and Connie Phillips, and Kimberly and Ronald | 4 | | Watt; his many step-grandchildren; his | 5 | | step-great-grandchildren; his sister-in-law, Jacquelinn | 6 | | Harshbarger; and his other extended family and friends; | 7 | | therefore, be it
| 8 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 9 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 10 | | LeRoy Harshbarger and extend our sincere condolences to his | 11 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 12 | | further
