1 HOUSE RESOLUTION
2 WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of
3 the State of Illinois learned with regret of the death of
4 Dorothy M. Strzelecki of Niles on Friday, August 8, 2003; and
5 WHEREAS, Mrs. Strzelecki (nee Perzan), was born on
6 December 14, 1924 in Chicago; after the death of her father,
7 she assumed leadership of a tool and dye company until 1978;
8 since that time, she has done office work and was in charge
9 of the accounts payable department at a Sportsmart store; and
10 WHEREAS, Mrs. Strzelecki was outgoing; she enjoyed
11 joining various groups as a couple with her husband, Joseph;
12 she was an active member of the Niles Sister Cities committee
13 and a Catholic women's group; she also supported the Optimist
14 Club and the Italian American Association; and
15 WHEREAS, The passing of Mrs. Strzelecki has been deeply
16 felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband,
17 Joseph; her children, Ronald (Joelle) and Dean (Laurie); her
18 grandchildren, Christina (Mike) Demiglio, Ronald Jr.
19 (Melissa), Deana, and Stephanie; her great-grandchildren,
20 Nicholas and Joseph Demiglio; her sister, Leona Michaels; and
21 her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
22 RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
23 NINETY-THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
24 we mourn the passing of Mrs. Dorothy M. Strzelecki and extend
25 our deepest sympathy to her family, friends, and community;
26 she will be remembered as a woman who was a second mother to
27 many; and be it further
28 RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
29 presented to the family of Mrs. Strzelecki as an expression
30 of our sincerest condolences.
