| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Sheila M. Jakaitis of Wadsworth, who | 4 | | passed away on February 26, 2019; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis was born in Waukegan to Stanley | 6 | | and Josephine Schuster on May 9, 1944; she graduated from | 7 | | Waukegan High School in 1961 and later earned her nursing | 8 | | degree from the College of Lake County; she married Edmund | 9 | | Jakaitis at St. Dismas Church in 1968; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis worked at Lake Forest Hospital and | 11 | | the Vista East Medical Center (Victory Memorial Hospital) in | 12 | | Waukegan; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis was a lifelong member of the | 14 | | American Slovenian Catholic Union KSKJ; she was also a member | 15 | | of a sewing club, bowling league, and St. Patrick Parish in | 16 | | Wadsworth; she enjoyed word searches, bingo, Jeopardy, cross | 17 | | stitching, and spending time with her family; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis was preceded in death by her | 19 | | parents; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Sheila Jakaitis is survived by her husband of 50 |

| 1 | | years, Edmund; her children, Sherri (Ron) Bulow, Joleen | 2 | | Jakaitis, and Michelle (Henri) Krueger; her grandchildren, | 3 | | Aubrey and Kaydence Krueger; her sister, Shirley Porter; her | 4 | | brothers-in-law, Tom (Donna) and Larry (Sue) Jakaitis; and many | 5 | | nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Sheila M. Jakaitis and extend our sincere condolences to her | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of Sheila Jakaitis as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
