| 1 | | HOUSE RESOLUTION
| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 | | Representatives wish to congratulate the 2022-2023 Bell Blaze | 4 | | cheer team of Alexander Graham Bell Elementary School on | 5 | | placing second at the 2023 Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Score! | 6 | | Co-Ed Cheer City-Wide Championship; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, The Bell Blaze cheerleading program, formed by | 8 | | Coaches Heather Burke and Melissa Whiting 10 years ago, | 9 | | consists of fifth through eighth grade students attending | 10 | | Alexander Graham Bell Elementary School; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, During the 2022-2023 season, the Bell Blaze cheer | 12 | | team won first in its regional tournament, placed third in the | 13 | | semifinals, and then placed second in the finals, marking the | 14 | | season as the team's most successful to date; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, The Bell Blaze cheer team is led by Head Coaches | 16 | | Jennie Dede and Heather Burke, who have remain committed to | 17 | | girls' athletics and have instilled the values of hard work | 18 | | and sportsmanship in their team members; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, The Bell Blaze cheer team is further led by | 20 | | Assistant Coaches Griffin Goldinand and Melissa Whiting, who | 21 | | have also been crucial to the success of the team; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, The 2022-2023 Bell Blaze cheer team members are | 2 | | Lexi Carbone, Lucille Cheeseman, Deniana Clemente, Sheane | 3 | | Finn, Scarlet Guy, Alec Harmon, Treise Johnson, Keira Kenealy, | 4 | | Poppy Koning, Heather Liebovitz, Ariana Mcdonald, Sienna | 5 | | McVicker, Madline Rich, Annalise Tully, Olivia Van Wazer, | 6 | | Julia Velasquez, Lucy Velasquez, Rios Amaris, and Diya Julka; | 7 | | and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, The Bell Blaze cheer team's success is a tribute | 9 | | to the dedication and effort each team member put into | 10 | | competing and performing the team's difficult routine; | 11 | | therefore, be it
| 12 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE | 13 | | HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that | 14 | | we congratulate the 2022-2023 Bell Blaze cheer team of | 15 | | Alexander Graham Bell Elementary School on placing second at | 16 | | the 2023 Chicago Public Schools (CPS) Score! Co-Ed Cheer | 17 | | City-Wide Championship; and be it further
