| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Charles Ralph of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on February 18, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charles Ralph was born to William and Irma | 6 | | (Dell'Antonia) Ralph in Shulter, Oklahoma on September 23, | 7 | | 1938; he married Loyola "Ann" Strawser in Coldwater, Michigan | 8 | | on April 6, 1959; he graduated from Tri-State University, | 9 | | where he studied chemical engineering; he served his country | 10 | | in the United States Army; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, After his honorable discharge, Charles Ralph | 12 | | continued serving his country by working for the U.S. | 13 | | Government; most recently, he worked at the Rock Island | 14 | | Arsenal until his retirement in 1986; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Charles Ralph enjoyed Ham Radio and especially | 16 | | loved "county hunting," making a two way contact with a | 17 | | station in one of the 3077 counties in the United States; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Charles Ralph was preceded in death by his wife; | 19 | | his parents; and his grandson, Paul Joseph Parker; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Charles Ralph is survived by his children, Bill |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | Charles Ralph and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further
