| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Duward Fredrick Inch, who passed away | 4 | | on January 29, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch was born in Rock Island on October 6, | 6 | | 1946; he was raised by his grandparents, George and Vera; he | 7 | | spent most of life living and working in the Quad Cities; he | 8 | | graduated from Rock Island High School; he served in the U.S. | 9 | | Navy on the U.S.S. Bennington; he married Linda Liphardt in | 10 | | 1968; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch's banking career began by | 12 | | repossessing cars; he eventually became a vice president at | 13 | | Blackhawk Bank and Trust before retiring in 2012; his early | 14 | | jobs included Schaffers Shell and Henry's Hamburgers; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch loved 60s music and vintage cars, | 16 | | especially El Caminos; he enjoyed attending his children's and | 17 | | grandchildren's events; upon his retirement, he enjoyed | 18 | | visiting California and taking cruises with his wife; and
| 19 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch was known for never meeting a | 20 | | stranger, for his booming voice, for his unbelievable | 21 | | joke-telling talent, and for his legendary 16th and 40th |

| 1 | | birthday pranks, which his friends both feared and celebrated; | 2 | | he will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and | 3 | | grandfather; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Duward Inch is survived by his wife, Linda; his | 5 | | children and their spouses, Rebecca (David) Pilger, John Casey | 6 | | (Pamela) Inch, and Joshua (Britt Bardo) Inch; and his | 7 | | grandchildren, Zachary Pilger, Nathaniel Pilger, Riley Inch, | 8 | | and Nova Rae Inch; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Duward Fredrick Inch and extend our sincere condolences to his | 12 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 13 | | further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Duward Inch as an expression of our | 16 | | deepest sympathy.
