| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Fred W. Orth of Moline, who passed | 4 | | away on January 2, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was born to Matthew and Irene | 6 | | (Schroeder) Orth in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on December 23, 1931; | 7 | | he honorably served in the U.S. Army, 3rd Armored Division, | 8 | | during the Korean War; he married Mary Catherine Redecker in | 9 | | Rock Island on June 23, 1956; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was an insurance agent and district | 11 | | manager with American Family Insurance for 37 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was a member of St. Mary's Catholic | 13 | | Church, Allouez Council 658 Knights of Columbus, and the | 14 | | Alleman Booster Club; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Fred Orth was preceded in death by his parents; | 16 | | and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Fred Orth is survived by his wife; his children, | 18 | | Therese (Patrick) Lootens, Eileen Copen, Michael (Susan) Orth, | 19 | | and Larry (Gaye) Orth; his grandchildren, Christopher Lootens, | 20 | | Elizabeth (Ty) Verschorre, Ryan (Maggie) Lootens, Samuel |
