| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Charlie D. Jackson of Peoria, who | 4 | | passed away on December 2, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Charlie Jackson was born in Greenwood, | 6 | | Mississippi to James and Mary (Kent) Ashford on July 27, 1954; | 7 | | he married Julie Parker in Bartonville on April 17, 2004, and | 8 | | they were together for 16 years; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Charlie Jackson held various positions as a | 10 | | warehouse worker, with his last being at G&D Integrated; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Charlie Jackson was a true family man, and he was | 12 | | known for his jokes, having fun, and his love of playing with | 13 | | his grandchildren; he was an avid Chicago Bears Fan; he | 14 | | enjoyed bowling, playing basketball, and throwing darts; he | 15 | | will be deeply missed; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Charlie Jackson was preceded in death by his | 17 | | parents; his second wife, Rebecca Jackson; his granddaughter, | 18 | | Marjah Jackson; his brothers, Tyrone, Thomas, Jimmy, Blake, | 19 | | and Joe; and his sisters, Doris and Mamie; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, Charlie Jackson is survived by his wife, Julie; |

Jackson Jr., | 4 | | Tyrese Jackson, and Nicole Jackson; his great-grandson, James | 5 | | A.
