| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of John J. Driscoll of Fairview Heights, who | 4 | | passed away on January 7, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, John Driscoll was born in East St. Louis to Judge | 6 | | John Joseph and Mary Agnes (Lynch) Driscoll on April 3, 1940; | 7 | | he graduated from St. Philip's Grade School, Assumption High | 8 | | School, and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville; he | 9 | | served in the United States Air Force and married Doris Thien | 10 | | on September 22, 2005; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, John Driscoll served St. Clair County in the | 12 | | Probation Office; he also served on its Board of Review and as | 13 | | its Auditor; and
| 14 | | WHEREAS, John Driscoll belonged to many civic, social, and | 15 | | political organizations, including the Belleville Chamber of | 16 | | Commerce, the Knights of Columbus, and the Ancient Order of | 17 | | Hibernians; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, John Driscoll was preceded in death by his | 19 | | parents; an infant sister, Patricia Sue Driscoll; his sister, | 20 | | Elizabeth Driscoll; his brother, Robert Driscoll; his aunts, | 21 | | Kate (Frank) Doyle, Nonie (Harry) Wall, Eileen (Robert) Hanson, |
