SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened
3to learn of the death of James Matthew "Jim" Hannon of Crest
4Hill, who passed away on March 13, 2024; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jim Hannon was born to John H. and Arleen M.
6(Kelly) Hannon in Hinsdale on November 28, 1969; he was raised
7in Naperville; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Jim Hannon attended Jefferson Junior High School
9and Naperville North High School, where he enjoyed playing
10football and wrestling, achieving third place in wrestling at
11State in 1988; he attended Indiana University, where he played
12football; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Jim Hannon was inducted as part of the inaugural
14class of Naperville North High School's Athletics Hall of Fame
15in 2006; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Jim Hannon loved football, but his greatest joys
17in life were his two sons, Declan and Braden; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Jim Hannon was preceded in death by his father;
19and

1    WHEREAS, Jim Hannon is survived by his sons, Declan James
2Hannon and Braden Matthew Hannon; the mother of his children,
3Christine Hanson-Hannon; his mother; his brothers, John Robert
4Hannon, Andy (Amy Cihak) Hannon, and Dan Hannon; his nephews,
5Riley Hannon and Quinn Hannon; and many cousins and friends;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED THIRD GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9James Matthew "Jim" Hannon and extend our sincere condolences
10to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Jim Hannon as an expression of our
14deepest sympathy.
