1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 3571
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 3571 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
5 10-20.87 and 34-18.85 as follows:

6     (105 ILCS 5/10-20.87 new)
7     Sec. 10-20.87. Automated external defibrillator;
8 attendance centers and extracurricular activities.
9     (a) As used in this Section, "automated external
10 defibrillator" has the meaning provided in the Automated
11 External Defibrillator Act.
12     (b) A school district shall require all attendance centers
13 to have present during the school day and during a
14 school-sponsored extracurricular activity on school grounds at
15 least one automated external defibrillator.
16     (c) An automated external defibrillator installed and

1 maintained in accordance with the Physical Fitness Facility
2 Medical Emergency Preparedness Act may be used to satisfy the
3 requirements of this Section.
