AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2764

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2764 on page 1,
3line 5, by replacing "Section 10" with "Sections 10 and 20";
4and
 
5on page 4, immediately below line 23, by inserting the
6following:
 
7    "(815 ILCS 601/20)
8    Sec. 20. Applicability.
9    (a) This Act does not apply to a contract entered into
10before the effective date of this Act.
11    (b) This amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly does
12not apply to a contract entered into before the effective date
13of this amendatory Act of the 93rd General Assembly.
14    (c) This Act does not apply to business-to-business
15contracts.
16    (d) This Act does not apply to banks, trust companies,

1savings and loan associations, savings banks, or credit unions
2licensed or organized under the laws of any state or the United
3States, or any foreign bank maintaining a branch or agency
4licensed or organized under the laws of any state of the United
5States, or any subsidiary or affiliate thereof.
6    (e) This Act does not apply to a contract that is extended
7beyond the original term of the contract as the result of the
8consumer's initiation of a change in the original contract
9terms.
10    (f) This Act does not apply to a contract for the sale of
11any product or service by a provider, or an affiliate of the
12provider, that is subject to Article XXII of the Public
13Utilities Act or any service provided by a business, or an
14affiliate of the business, that is licensed or regulated by
15the Federal Communications Commission.
16    (g) This Act does not apply to a party, or an affiliate of
17the party, regulated by the Director of the Department of
18Insurance.
