1 AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2197
2 AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2197 on page 2,
3 line 6, by inserting after "system" the following:
4 "that is specifically designated to detain or incarcerate
5 youth. "County-operated juvenile detention center" does not
6 include police or other temporary law enforcement holding
7 locations"; and

8 on page 12, by inserting immediately below line 20 the
9 following:

10 "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect on
11 January 1, 2025.".
