AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1510

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1510 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

"Section 5. The Park District Code is amended by adding Section 8-13a as follows:

(70 ILCS 1205/8-13a new)

Sec. 8-13a. Agreements related to solar energy. In addition to any other power or authority granted under this Code, a park district may enter into a lease, contract, or other agreement related to the acquisition of solar energy, including the installation, maintenance, and service of solar panels, equipment, or similar technology related to solar energy, for a period not to exceed 2.5 times the term of years provided for in Section 8-13 when authorized by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the governing board of the park district.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
