AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1065

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1065 by replacing
3everything after the enacting clause with the following:
 
4    "Section 5. The Adjutant General, on behalf of the State
5of Illinois and the Department of Military Affairs, is
6authorized to convey by Quitclaim Deed all right, title, and
7interest of the State of Illinois and the Department of
8Military Affairs in and to the real estate described in
9Section 10 to the City of Lawrenceville, subject to the
10conditions and restriction described in Section 15.
 
11    Section 10. The Adjutant General is authorized to convey
12the following described real property:
 
13    A part of Hennessy's Porter Avenue Addition to
14Lawrenceville, Illinois as recorded in Plat Book 1, page 92,
15Lawrence County, Illinois, and described as follows:

1    Commencing at a point of beginning, an iron pin, at the
2    Southeast Corner of Lot 22 of said Addition; thence North
3    89° 55' 24" West along the South line of Lot 22 a distance
4    of 125 feet to an iron pin, at the Southwest corner of Lot
5    22; thence North 38° 22' 36" West a distance of 143.98 feet
6    to an iron pin at the most Southerly Corner of Lot 16;
7    thence North 44° 17' 30" West along the Southwesterly line
8    of Lot 16 a distance of 125 feet to an iron pin at the most
9    Westerly corner of Lot 16; thence North 45° 37' 54" East
10    along the Northwesterly lines of Lots 16, 17, 18 and 19 a
11    distance of 225 feet to an iron pin; thence continuing
12    North 45° 37' 54" East a distance of 17 feet to the most
13    Northerly Corner of Lot 19; thence South 44° 17' 30" East
14    along the Northeasterly line of Lots 19 and 42 a distance
15    of 184.23 feet to a point at the Northeasterly Corner of
16    Lot 42; thence South 0° 00' 00" West along the East line of
17    Lot 42 a distance of 24.34 feet to an iron pin; thence
18    continuing South 0° 00' 00" West a distance of 215.6 feet
19    to the point of beginning.
 
 
20    Section 15. The Adjutant General shall not convey the real
21property described in Section 10 to the City of Lawrenceville
22until the Adjutant General determines that the property is no
23longer required for military purposes. Conveyance of the above

1real property will be in an "as is" condition, and the City of
2Lawrenceville will pay all required costs and expenses for the
3conveyance, as determined by the Adjutant General. The
4Quitclaim Deed shall state on its face and be subject to the
5condition that if the property is no longer used for public
6purposes, then title shall revert without further action to
7the State of Illinois.
 
8    Section 20. The Adjutant General shall obtain a certified
9copy of this Act from the Secretary of State within 60 days
10after its effective date and, upon the conveyance of the real
11estate described in Section 10 being made, shall cause the
12certified copy of this Act to be recorded in the office of the
13Recorder of Lawrence County, Illinois.
 
14    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon
15becoming law.".
