1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 5050
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 5050 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Decennial Committees on Local Government
5 Efficiency Act is amended by adding Section 26 as follows:

6     (50 ILCS 70/26 new)
7     Sec. 26. County board report. After each decennial census
8 and no later than 24 months after the formation of all of the
9 committees of the governmental units in a county, the county
10 board must prepare a report to the General Assembly that
11 includes a plan to reduce the number of governmental units
12 within the county by 10% to 20%.".
