AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 3498

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 3498 on page 9, line 21, by replacing "subsequently teaches" with "subsequently, within 5 years of entering repayment, begins to teach"; and

on page 18, lines 1 and 2, by replacing "subsequently teaches" with "subsequently, within 5 years of entering repayment, begins to teach"; and

on page 18, line 5, after "completed.", by inserting "Reduction of the amount owed shall not be construed as reinstatement in the Golden Apple Scholars program. Reinstatement in the program shall be solely at the discretion of the Golden Apple Foundation on terms determined by the Foundation."; and

on page 26, line 14, by replacing "subsequently teaches" with "subsequently, within 5 years of entering repayment, begins to teach".
