AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2269

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2269 on page 9, line 1, after "record", by inserting ", such as a power to appoint, remove, or designate a trustee or other fiduciary or powerholder, a power to direct a trustee, a power to modify or amend, a power to withdraw assets, a power to decant, a power to waive notice, or any other power granted under this Act, any other statute, the terms of a trust, or any rule of law possessed by a trustee, a grantor, a beneficiary, or a third party"; and

on page 9, line 12, after "individual", by inserting ", including a short-term, temporary, or standby guardian"; and

on page 9, by replacing line 14 with "child, including a short-term, temporary, or standby guardian; (11) a supported decision-making agreement under the Supported Decision-Making Agreement Act; (12) a mental health treatment declaration; (13) a"; and

on page 9, line 15, by replacing "(13)" with "(14)"; and

on page 9, line 16, by replacing "(14)" with "(15)"; and

on page 13, by replacing line 10 with "estate planning document, will, or terms of a trust governing the document expressly preclude use of an"; and

on page 14, line 22, by replacing "requires" with "or a will or the terms of a trust governing the nontestamentary estate planning document require"; and

on page 15, by replacing line 19 with "of this State or a will or the terms of a trust require or permit a signature or record to be notarized,"; and

on page 16, line 5, by replacing "bases" with "or a will or the terms of a trust base".
