1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 299
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 299 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The School Code is amended by adding Sections
5 10-20.87 and 34-18.87 as follows:

6     (105 ILCS 5/10-20.87 new)
7     Sec. 10-20.87. Deepfake images; prohibition. A school
8 board shall adopt a policy prohibiting a student from creating
9 a deepfake image of another student.

10     (105 ILCS 5/34-18.87 new)
11     Sec. 34-18.87. Deepfake images; prohibition. The board
12 shall adopt a policy prohibiting a student from creating a
13 deepfake image of another student.".
