| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Master Sergeant Joseph D. "Joe" | 4 | | Rebholz, U.S. Army (Ret) of Hampton, who passed away on March | 5 | | 30, 2022; and
| 6 | | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania | 7 | | on August 31, 1945; he married Tonnie Jo (Smith) Nevins in | 8 | | Moline on December 31, 1983, and she preceded him in death on | 9 | | September 18, 2018; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was drafted into the U.S. Army on | 11 | | October 23, 1967; he served his country for 20 years, retiring | 12 | | as Master Sergeant; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz enjoyed finding deals, shopping for | 14 | | antiques, and going to auctions; he also loved cooking and | 15 | | gardening; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz was preceded in death by his parents; | 17 | | his brother; and his wife of 35 years, Tonnie Jo Rebholz; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Joe Rebholz is survived by his sister, Mari Jean | 19 | | Arscot; his friends, Jesse and Yesenia Schroeder, and their | 20 | | children, Johnathan, Matthew, and Christopher; his friends, |

| 3 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 4 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 5 | | Master Sergeant Joseph D. "Joe" Rebholz, U.S. Army (Ret) and | 6 | | extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all | 7 | | who knew and loved him; and be it further
