| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Ronald "Ron" B. Schlotfeldt of | 4 | | Hillsdale, who passed away on March 16, 2022; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt was born to Russell and Ardelle | 6 | | (Peters) Schlotfeldt in Clinton, Iowa on July 15, 1946; he | 7 | | served in the U.S. Marine Corps in Vietnam; he married Vicky L. | 8 | | Wiersema in Silvis on December 16, 1989; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt retired from Rock Island | 10 | | Integrated Services at the Rock Island Arsenal as a | 11 | | supervisor; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, | 13 | | hunting, and camping; he also liked tending to his yard and | 14 | | gardening; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt was preceded in death by his | 16 | | parents; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Ron Schlotfeldt is survived by his wife, Vicky; | 18 | | his children, Dana Morey, Lynnette Stevens, John Carlile, | 19 | | Chris (Nicole) Carlile, Jimmy Carlile, Russ (Sarah) | 20 | | Schlotfeldt, Ron Schlotfeldt II, and Travis Schlotfeldt; his |
