| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Anne Berry, who passed away on | 4 | | November 14, 2020 at the age of 88; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Anne Berry was born in Chicago on October 28, | 6 | | 1932; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Anne Berry earned her undergraduate and graduate | 8 | | degrees from the University of Illinois and the Illinois | 9 | | Institute of Technology; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, Anne Berry married Bill Berry in 1964; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Anne Berry lived her adult life in Chicagoland, | 12 | | the Village of Oak Park specifically, and Indianapolis; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Anne Berry built a long and successful career in | 14 | | art teaching and curation; during retirement, she was a docent | 15 | | for the Indianapolis Museum of Art; and
| 16 | | WHEREAS, Anne Berry was politically engaged and eagerly | 17 | | cast her ballot in the 2020 election; and
| 18 | | WHEREAS, Anne Berry was preceded in death by her husband |

| 1 | | and her son, Jason Berry; and
| 2 | | WHEREAS, At the time of her death, Anne Berry was survived | 3 | | by her daughter, Diann Harris; her grandson, Drew Harris; her | 4 | | brother, Donald Andersen; her daughter-in-law, Andrea Berry; | 5 | | her nephews and nieces; and her friends; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | Anne Berry and extend our sincere condolences to her family, | 9 | | friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
| 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of Anne Berry as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
