| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Tabaka of | 4 | | Ivesdale, who passed away on September 2, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka was born to James and Edith Nelson | 6 | | Nicholson in Evansville, Indiana on October 27, 1948; and
| 7 | | WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka was a proud member of the Bement | 8 | | and Ivesdale communities and was heavily involved in numerous | 9 | | school and church programs while her children were young; she | 10 | | also served many years as secretary for St. Joseph's Catholic | 11 | | Church; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, In 1979, Jackie Tabaka began her career in the | 13 | | oil business with Hillard Oil in Ivesdale; she went to work for | 14 | | Illini FS in Urbana in 2007; she deeply enjoyed the work, and | 15 | | she kept in contact with her customers and colleagues | 16 | | throughout her life; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka loved spoiling her six | 18 | | grandchildren, and she attended as many of their events as | 19 | | possible, from ball games to parties; she enjoyed spending | 20 | | time with her family in every way she could, and her family's | 21 | | Illinois football tailgates were some of the most cherished |

| 1 | | events of each year; and | 2 | | WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka was preceded in death by her | 3 | | parents and Charles M. Tabaka; and
| 4 | | WHEREAS, Jackie Tabaka is survived by her three children; | 5 | | Chuck (Jennifer) Tabaka II, Ryan (Lisa) Tabaka, and Elizabeth | 6 | | (Clark) Foran; her six grandchildren, Hannah, Colin, Crosby, | 7 | | Madison, Carson, and Charlee; her sister, Carolyn Jo (Kevin) | 8 | | Nicholson; and her brother, James Nicholson; therefore, be it
| 9 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED SECOND GENERAL | 10 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 11 | | Jacqueline "Jackie" K. Tabaka and extend our sincere | 12 | | condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved | 13 | | her; and be it further
| 14 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 15 | | presented to the family of Jackie Tabaka as an expression of | 16 | | our deepest sympathy.
