| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened | 3 | | to learn of the death of Richard E. "Rich" Paxton of East | 4 | | Moline, who passed away on April 11, 2021; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Rich Paxton was born in Fairfield, Iowa to James | 6 | | O. and Dorothy L. Sloan Paxton on May 1, 1946; he served in the | 7 | | U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and married Sherry Warren in | 8 | | East Moline on October 30, 1970; and
| 9 | | WHEREAS, Rich Paxton retired from John Deere after 30 | 10 | | years as a press operator; he was the co-founder of Centennial | 11 | | Rods and Street Machines and was a master at restoration and | 12 | | custom work and could fabricate anything; and
| 13 | | WHEREAS, Rich Paxton was affectionately known as "RP"; he | 14 | | enjoyed car shows and loved spending time with his family; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Rich Paxton was preceded in death by his parents | 16 | | and his brother, Gary; and | 17 | | WHEREAS, Rich Paxton is survived by his wife, Sherry; his | 18 | | son, Shawn (Corie) Paxton; his daughter, Becki (Wade) Pilon; | 19 | | his grandchildren, Darcie Pilon, Dawson Pilon, Kaylee Paxton, | 20 | | and Kelsey Paxton; and many special friends; therefore, be it
