AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2333

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2333 on page 3, line 20, by replacing "a term" each time it appears with "terms"; and

on page 4, by replacing line 6 through line 7 with the following:

"(c) For a period of 3 years following the effective date of this amendatory Act of the 102nd General Assembly, candidates must be 50 years of age or older and must have been incarcerated for at least 20 years. After 3 years, this age limitation shall not apply."; and

on page 7, by deleting line 16 through line 20; and

on page 10 by inserting the following below line 10:

"Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.".
