1 AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 4164
2     AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 4164 by replacing
3 everything after the enacting clause with the following:

4     "Section 5. The Unified Code of Corrections is amended by
5 changing Section 3-2-4 as follows:

6     (730 ILCS 5/3-2-4)  (from Ch. 38, par. 1003-2-4)
7     Sec. 3-2-4. Governor to visit; members of the General
8 Assembly may visit ~~Visit~~.
9     (a) The Governor shall visit the institutions, facilities,
10 and programs of the Department as often asthe Governor ~~he~~
11 deems fit, for the purpose of inquiring ~~examining~~into the
12 affairs and conditions of the Department.
13     (b) A member of the General Assembly may visit the
14 institutions, facilities, and programs of the Department and
15 may visit with any individual incarcerated at any Department
16 institution or facility, upon the request of the member to the

1 Department, for the purpose of inquiring into the affairs and
2 conditions of the Department and the well-being of an
3 incarcerated individual.
