Amends the Department of Veterans' Affairs Act. Provides that the Department of Veterans' Affairs shall establish a program to enable veterans who are certified nursing assistants to meet the requirements for practical nurse licensure under the Nurse Practice Act.

| 2 | | Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 | | represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 | | Section 5. The Department of Veterans' Affairs Act is |
| 5 | | amended by adding Section 2.14 as follows:
|
| 6 | | (20 ILCS 2805/2.14 new) |
| 7 | | Sec. 2.14. Certified nursing assistants; practical nurse |
| 8 | | licensure. The Department shall establish a program to enable |
| 9 | | veterans who are certified nursing assistants to meet the |
| 10 | | requirements for practical nurse licensure under Article 55 of |
| 11 | | the Nurse Practice Act.
