| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of Jess W. Bowling of Silvis, who passed | 4 | | away on October 13, 2020; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, Jess Bowling was born in Scottsburg, Indiana to | 6 | | Henry Marcus and Pearly Baker Bowling on November 30, 1945; he | 7 | | served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era; and
| 8 | | WHEREAS, Jess Bowling enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, | 9 | | and traveling with his brothers; he was a fan of the Chicago | 10 | | Cubs and the Chicago Bears; and
| 11 | | WHEREAS, Jess Bowling was preceded in death by his parents; | 12 | | his siblings, Woodrow Bowling, Matthew Bowling, Henry "Lee" | 13 | | Bowling, McKinley Bowling, Jacqueline Jones, and Pauline | 14 | | Hoffman; six nephews; and one niece; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, Jess Bowling is survived by his sisters, Kathleen | 16 | | Schumacher, Mary Showalter, and Denise (Dennis) Anton; and | 17 | | several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
